10 Life Lessons I've Learned Over the Past Year

10 Life Lessons I've Learned Over the Past Year.

Over the years, we learn things through life, usually through hardship and tough experiences.
Here are just 10 of the many lessons that I have learned over the past year.
In the comments, tell me what important life lessons you have learned over the past year :)

1. Forgiveness

Picture
Forgiveness is the key to living a happy life. It is the most important thing we can do to free ourselves from emotional pain.  When we forgive, we no longer give the issue or experience energy. Like Iylanla Vanzant says, "Forgiveness is letting go of the hope that the past could be any different".
When we forgive, we are not saying that we condone to what the other person did, we are just no longer giving up our power to them.

2. Take Care of You

Living in this busy, hectic world, we sometimes forget to nurture ourselves because we feel the need to take care of others. But in reality, if we are not happy, we can not truly make anyone else happy. It is like trying to give someone $10,000 dollars when you only have $1000 in the bank. How can you truly give something you do not hold within yourself?

3. Accept Others as They Are

You can not change anyone. They must want to change before change can happen at all. Accept people as they are. If they bring negative energy to your life, or affect your mood in a negative way, Either Limit or Eliminate them from your life. This leads to life lesson #4.

4. Limit or Eliminate what does not serve the highest good of all

There are people in this world that like to complain about everything. They want to blame all of their problems on everything... or everyone else.  They don't want to take responsibility for their own actions nor how they could be part
of the issues in their life. When we allow these people to constantly complain to us, they steal our energy.
When you are sensitive to energy, it really zaps yours and can make your mood change in a negative way. These people are known as energy vampires. When there are people in your life that do nothing but complain, you need to either Limit your time with them, or eliminate them completely from your life.

P.S. I'm not talking about having compassion for others, I'm talking about the people that just want to complain and do nothing to help themselves. For more info about this, Watch my video about how Energy Vampires can steal your energy at: https://youtu.be/m181-ARNSMo

5. Take Responsibility for Your Life

Picture
Have you ever hears the saying, "Carry Your Cross" ? When we carry our own cross, we take responsibility for our own actions.... we take responsibility for our own lives.
We need to figure out the "WHY?" of what is going on in our lives and take the steps to create positive change. Doing this, helps us to stop repeating patterns that do not help us, but hurt us. It stops us from repeating the old patterns that we learned from others; that cause us to continue to go around in that vicious circle of life.

6.  Don't Live Someone Else's Dreams

Don't Live someone lost dreams. You are not responsible for their happiness, only your own.

If You love to dance, then dance!

Don't go to school to be a doctor because your parents want you to be a doctor and don't let others tell you that it is stupid, or you will never be successful in what you love to do.
Don't Live someone else's dreams because they were not able to do it themselves. There is a higher purpose as to why they did not do it as well.
Which leads me to Life Lesson #7.

7. Do What You Love and Love What You Do

Take what you absolutely love to do, and turn it into your career. Put the pieces of the puzzle together.
For example, if you love animals, how can you work with animals for your career? How can you be of service to others?
I love working with herbs and oils, and I love to write and speak. So now I write & teach classes about Aromatherapy!
So what is it that you love to do?

8.  Treat People How You Want to be Treated

If you do not want to have others put you down, then don't do it. If you want someone to treat you with respect, then treat others with respect. If you want to be shown love, then love others.

My point is, if you do not want it done or said to you, then do not say or do it to other people.

It all comes back threefold, whichever way you decide.

9.  Let Go of the Past

When we hold onto past experiences, we continue to live the same experiences over and over again, because we have not learned the life lesson we need to learn from that experience.
The Past is called "The Past" for a reason. Don't go backwards, always remain looking forward. There is always a reason "WHY?" things did not work out the way you wanted them to. Spirit knows better than anyone what we need and when we need it.
For example, I was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS in 2002. I would NOT go back and change that. WHY? Because if I did not get RSD/CRPS, I would have never researched natural medicine which led me to where I am today.

10. Love Yourself Unconditionally

Like I said in Life Lesson #2,  We can't give something we truly do not hold within ourselves. So if you do not love yourself, how can we truly give love to other people?
Loving yourself is not being cocky or selfish, it is being true to yourself and giving yourself the confidence that you need to live a successful and peaceful life. So C'mon! Tell me what it is you LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF the most in the comments below!

What are Affirmations? How can Affirmations Help Me in Life?

What Are Affirmations

Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate. Repeating affirmations, and the resultant mental images, affect the subconscious mind, which in turn, influences the behavior, habits, actions and reactions.

What Affirmations Do?

  • They motivate.
  • They keep the mind focused on the goal.
  • They influence the subconscious mind and activate its powers.
  • They change the way you think and behave, and this can bring you into contact with new people, who can help you with your goals.
  • Positive statements make you feel positive, energetic and active, and therefore, put you in a better position to transform your inner and external worlds.

When and How to Repeat Affirmations

1) Devote some special times during the day for repeating them.
2) Repeat them wherever you are, and whenever you want and have the time.
Before starting, ask yourself whether you really want to get what you want to affirm for. If you have doubts and are not really sure that you want it, your doubts will stand in your way. This is one of the reasons why people do not get results, and then lose their belief in this power.
Affirm with love, faith, feeling and interest, and feel and believe that your desire has already been fulfilled. This kind of thinking will accelerate its fulfillment.
It is natural for the mind to bring up doubts and negative thoughts, especially if your current environment and situation are very different from what you want to achieve. Persevere, and do not let your negative thoughts and doubts conquer you.

Wake Up! It's Time for Change!

Learning to Identify Patterns and Habits
Identifying the patterns of behavior that cause pain in life is not an easy task but it is
possible. Utilizing the posts within this blog will provide a lasting foundation for new behaviors by finding habits that negatively impact your life and change them positive empowering tasks.

Everyone has the choice to create a future that is different from their past. These next few blog posts hold famous techniques that have been used over the years to create a healing system that will empower you to forgive your past, heal your present, and transform your future. Lifeshare University of Healing is here to help you transform your dreams into your destiny.
Have you tried to change. But, even with the best of intentions, you end up doing the
same old things in the same old ways? You've read books, taken various courses, and
bought the T-shirt, a firm resolution... and even told all of your friends about these
promises, only to return swiftly to the same old place in your life?

Sometimes you feel worse and then beat yourself up for breaking your own promises. You still feel overweight, you still feel dissatisfied in the same job, you still follow the same old cycle of "I love you and can't live without you – I hate to and don't ever want to see you again." In your relationships. Does this sound familiar to you?

Do you want to feel all parts of you fully alive again? We learn our habits, emotionally therefore, we can only come to healing by releasing emotionally. This cannot be done by talking. It has been done by expressing the full range of emotions and arriving at a
complete sense of compassion for not only ourselves, but for our parents as well. This is a new education, and re-education of the emotional part of ourselves.
We can be let out of old patterns of behavior and can be taught, or more importantly teach ourselves new ways of being. It is a very emotional education, meaning that we feel our way through it, and by that method. It lodges in our own learning system. Without it, we would always have to have someone either doing the fishing for us are being paid to teach us how to fish. This way we can go and find our own food for our own nourishment.

As ritual, the process makes this passage into the world of self responsibility real and
true. Doing this work, you are taking time out of your regular life to undergo a set of
tasks and challenges, a kind of inner search for the Dragon. You confront this Dragon,
slay it (or sit down and have a cup of tea with it, learning the gift it can offer us), and
then go back into your regular life again to apply what you have learned. You are forever "marked" by this ritual.
The Hoffman Process by Tim Laurence shows us that there are three pillars of personal growth, education, and ritual. They build firm foundations upon which we can turn from a human doing into a human being. The Quadrinity model plays a key role. The Hoffman process explains that we are composed of four parts.
The four parts are:

  • Our emotions or feelings.
  • Our intellect or thoughts.
  • Our spirit or essence.
  • Our physical realm or body.
Our emotional self develops from birth onward. Its function is to provide us the feelings and emotions needed in order to develop enjoyable and productive relationships with others, as well as ourselves. We need relationships to belong, to love and to be loved. When we experience any form of emotional deprivation as children, we acquire feelings of rejection, humiliation, abandonment, and betrayal, which we create in our sub-sequent relationships. Our emotional well-being and growth can be stunted. And we do not mature emotionally. Childish patterns can remain. We say "no" without thinking or automatically reply “I can't do that” when facing a new challenge because we are petrified of being criticized.

The intellectual self develops from around six years onward. Its function is to provide
us with clear thought and reason in order to make decisions in a healthy and rational way. It is required for the development of reason and to ensure survival as we continue to grow and mature. We are driven forward in the world by our need to know when this is not encouraged or is overstressed in childhood, we develop feelings of being
stupid, inadequate, confused, or even mentally unbalanced.
A positive intellectual aspect provides us good judgment and discernment. A negative
aspect internalizes the voice of the critical parent by saying, "don't do that." And "don't
be so stupid." It has over develop its critical faculty and turned it in on itself or is always
looking for faults and others. It's a side of us that is defensive, self-righteous, hates to be wrong. and loves to have the last word.
As emotional adults, we would like to be able to respond and articulate our own feelings, but sadly, many of us, stay repressed or depressed. The worst part of it is that we don't even keep the childlike part of ourselves alive – the happy, enthusiastic, spontaneous person inside. What we have in charged most of the time is a highly rational side, what the Hoffman process calls the "adult intellect". We believe that we have to look like we have it all together, sound intelligent, be efficient and productive, and generally miss out on the fun. This has disastrous consequences on our internal peace. At other times, it's the emotional self or "child" inside that is in charge, hijacking our responses to a situation. We come across as being dramatic and highly anxious, or you want to throw in the towel and call it quits.

A large emphasis of this process is on reconciling the emotional (child or old brain) and
intellectual (adult or new brain) aspects of your personality. Through this, you can then
integrate the four parts of your being. To enable this to happen, first we have to
explore in depth - the relationship with your caregivers when you were children and to understand the effect that these relationships have had upon your subsequent emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual development.

By first understanding childhood experiences and then working through them, you will be able to separate yourself from rigid belief systems and parental character traits, as well as potential emotional trauma that may have been sabotaging your adult life in one way or another. Once this separation has occurred, you can experience a profound inner healing with long-lasting results. You will be able to heal by letting go of the past, and you will be able to live in the present.
you will also be getting to know a part of you that is free from any programs or
conditioning. We call this part, the spiritual self or essence inside. Think of it as the
diamonds that lives within each of us, the Clear Channel of light. Its always there, even if
we are completely caught up in our own day to day struggles. It's the voice within, the
part that leads us towards our greater potential. It is our connection with God and the
universe.
Your spiritual self will be much more available to you once you look at and do some
major cleansing of your own patterns. We dig up our garden of life and pull out the
weeds layer by layer that have grown over the years... until we get to the roots and let
you reconnect with your true self- your diamond essence. By doing this, you are led back
to your own truth and your own vision of how things really can be. You are put back in
touch with your own wisdom and intuition. You will learn to trust that the answers lie
within. Your spiritual self, what to experience love and joy arising from a source that
knows no limit.

The fourth element is one that you can touch and feel at any time. It's your physical
reality, the body. Throughout the posts stay in touch with how your body responds
when you feel and emotion. Stay in touch with your body when you go through a guided visualization. Listen to its response under stress and in times of peace. Learn to honor its own magic and mystery. It's the home of your spiritual self during your lifetime.

To help learn how to relax and free your mind of worry, visit our free podcast page at www.lifeyou.me and listen to our free recorded guided  meditations.

Allow me to ask you these few questions to get your mind going....

  • What do you feel you need to let go of?
  • Is there someone or something you need to forgive?
  • What is holding you back from moving forward in life?

I would love to hear any feedback or responses during this series of blog posts so please do comment!

Have an Awesome Day!
